Welcome to Marantha Studios Home page. Claudia T Rees is the artist here is a lil about her,
Claudia Rees is a sculptor
of small to life-size stone carvings and bronze statues and statuettes. She also enjoys working in clay ranging from significant
subjects to whimsical characters. Claudia is inspired by the Divine and believes that all creativity should glorify the original
Creator. Her works reflect the beauty, the struggle and the lessons of religion and evoke powerful emotion through the subjects
and symbolism she chooses.
Claudia received her bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kutztown State College in Pennsylvania.
She also enjoys painting, offers art instruction and encourages others to develop and use their gifts and talents.
Several
of her commissioned works can be seen in and around the Central Virginia area including Cornerstone Church in Chester, St.
Michaels Catholic Church in Richmond’s West End, St. Catherine’s School on Grove Avenue in Richmond and the West End Assembly
of God on Parham Road in Richmond. Other pieces are on display at Maranatha Studios in Crozier, VA and may be seen by appointment.
